Below you will find an exact sample day of my consistent eating habits. What you see below rarely varies. Very rarely. When you practice certain habits for so long, especially healthy lifestyle habits, you assume people, at the very least, know how to differentiate between the good, not so good, not so bad, and the down right bad and ugly foods. It's very vexing to me, even though I think I do take into consideration my long standing relationship with both, exercise and healthy eating. But, I still find it hard to believe people do not know the difference between what is good and what is bad - particularly in today's age. But the purpose of this page is to drive home this very point...THIS IS MY DIET!! THIS IS WHAT I EAT EVERYDAY!! (Give or take a meal which may be substituted with Met-Rx or simply skipped altogether).
Maintaining a diet like this is easy - once you get accustomed to it. Until then it can be harder than...well, you get the inference. I never have a desire for other kinds of foods because my body (and taste buds) have adjusted to this way of eating. Eating good is very simple and yes, it is boring. However, if you want to stay in shape or get in shape, you have no choice, there is no other way. None.
Why do you think all other diets fail? Those who do succeed do so because they come to realize what the truths are. There are no secret foods. There is no such thing as a diet plan with an "anything goes" menu. I mean, sure if you got the time to play Martha Stewart, go ahead. However, my experiences, or rather, what I have witnessed - is people start to rationalize a little of this - a little of that - and before you know it, what started as a healthy dish becomes a calorie-laden meal you don't need to have. You can find healthy style cookbooks, but my sense is that they lead you astray. Too many temptations arise from just being around the idea, the preparation, the colorfulness, the flavorings, etc. of scrumptious looking, smelling and tasting foods. The effort you put into the meal becomes self-defeating. All the work for the small satisfaction you actually get causes you to become weak and full of self-pity, so you nibble a little extra, then you splurge like a ravenous cow, again rationalizing your insurgence by telling yourself you deserve it. You go on to tell yourself you won't create the temptation ever again and you'll eat plain and simple - starting tomorrow! It just doesn't work!
Listen to me, telling yourself you will eat properly is not the same as doing it!! If you want to eat properly - eat properly. Believe me, your taste buds will adjust over time and you'll be drooling at the thought of that luscious can of tuna w/a little mustard as your afternoon snack. What am I out of my mind? - maybe a little - but hey, Live it like a warrior. Or dump the guilt and constant need to apologize - and stay or become a beast by your own uncontrollable obsessions.

A Bit of Warrior Wisdom...
"Optimism, unaccompanied by personal effort is merely an uneventful state of mind.
Quit daydreaming and take agressive action.
Soon you'll be realizing what you have worked so hard for. There is no other way."
On a final note here...this is a Warrior Work in Progress. I'll come back in time and add links to my supplementation page and also a link to a way of ordering my own personal journal relative to these very issues.
